Each Renaissance bracelet is carefully manufactured, formed and handfinished by a select team of experts. The cuff is a standard length, and can be adjusted to fit your wrist. Each cuff is gold plated and polished to a mirror-like shine.
I was first inspired by my introduction to calligraphy in the spring of 2017. I began working earnestly on Verses a year later in the Spring of 2018 and since then it’s been almost exactly a year from conception to delivery. Verses, and the Renaissance Collection specifically has been a wholehearted endeavor of love. I believed in this venture and I am so proud and grateful to finally be able to share this collection with you. I hope you will love it as much as I do.
The aim of calligraphy is to reach perfection and calligraphers take extreme care and pride in the most minute of details. Muslim calligraphers who inscribe the words of God and the noble kalimahs of their religion are inspired by the perfection of God and his creations. Though they know they will never reach his Godly level of mastery and supreme perfection, every penstroke is their zikr (godly remembrance). Given the nature of engineering this product, some artistic liberties have been taken and, while the product was made with the immeasurable help of trained calligraphers, they do not conform to the rigid rules of traditional Arabic calligraphy. Nevertheless, despite acceeding to the necessaries of jewellery making, we have strived toward perfection with this collection and hope to improve upon it with every iteration.
